Chief diversity officer hiring is setting records
Columnist Jeff Green delves into the boom of diversity officer hiring this past year by US corporations, noting that many companies are also dropping degree requirements and adopting measurable initiatives, like hiring quotas, as a way to meet D&I goals. “[Historically,] when they [didn’t] see the quick wins right away, all of a sudden the chief diversity officer is out the door,” said Tina Shah Paikeday, who leads Russell Reynolds’ diversity and inclusion advisory practice. “Now people are looking for longer-term change.”
