China Airlines Adds Immfly Wireless IFE to A330 Fleet

China Airlines has expanded its partnership with Immfly, signing a new five-year agreement to equip its fleet of 13 Airbus A330s with the company’s wireless inflight entertainment (W-IFE) system. The decision follows the successful rollout of Immfly technology on the airline’s Boeing 737-800 fleet.

The Taiwanese carrier first partnered with Immfly two years ago to deploy the Fantasy Sky Wireless Entertainment System across its 10 B737s. The platform integrates entertainment, connectivity, and onboard retail services, all accessible through passengers’ personal electronic devices. China Airlines plans to activate the W-IFE service on its 737 aircraft in the near future before expanding it across the A330 fleet.

According to the airline, passenger adoption has been exceptionally strong. “Based on our operational experience with the 73-8 fleet, mobile streaming is undoubtedly the preferred choice for the new generation of travellers, with a utilisation rate of up to 90% so far this year. We have therefore decided to seamlessly transplant this mature solution to the A330 fleet as well,” a China Airlines spokesperson said.

The expanded partnership underscores the airline’s commitment to enhancing digital inflight experiences and meeting growing demand for mobile-first entertainment options.
