China Southern Approves Xiamen Airlines’ 2026 Financial Guarantees

China Southern Airlines (CZ, Guangzhou) has authorized its subsidiary Xiamen Airlines (MF, Xiamen) to issue financial guarantees totaling up to CNY 6.38 billion (USD 899 million) for 2026. The guarantees will support several of Xiamen Airlines’ subsidiaries as part of the group’s business development and expansion strategy.
Under the approved plan, Hebei Airlines will receive up to CNY 2.95 billion (USD 415 million), Xiamen Airlease up to CNY 1.3 billion (USD 183 million), Xiamen Airlines Financial Leasing up to CNY 1.5 billion (USD 211 million), Jiangxi Airlines up to CNY 327 million (USD 46 million), and Shangzhou Logistics up to CNY 300 million (USD 42 million).
The move is intended to strengthen the financial stability and operational growth of Xiamen Airlines’ affiliated entities. China Southern disclosed that, as of now, the total value of external guarantees provided by the company and its controlled subsidiaries stands at approximately CNY 36.09 billion (USD 5.1 billion), equivalent to 103.92% of its latest audited net assets.
The proposal will be finalized pending shareholder approval, marking another step in China Southern’s continued financial oversight and support for its expanding regional airline network.
