CJet Aviation Expands with New FBO in Québec and Piaggio P.180 Charter

CJet Aviation has launched a Fixed Base Operation (FBO) at Trois-Rivières in Québec, marking a significant expansion as it prepares to offer charter services with its newly acquired Piaggio Avanti P.180. The aircraft, C-GCVU (msn 1151), was ferried from St. Petersburg/Clearwater via Harrisburg to Trois-Rivières on August 16, 2024, before being re-registered in Canada on October 3, following previous private use in the U.S. under the registration N159KH.
Currently holding a Canadian certificate for private operations under CAR604 regulations, CJet Aviation plans to begin charter flights with the Piaggio Avanti and an EC120 helicopter. The recent investment in its Trois-Rivières FBO facility totals CAD8 million (USD5.8 million), providing a strong foundation for its entry into the charter market.
Founded in 2022 and owned by Guillaume Champagne, CJet Aviation has steadily expanded, with its FBO division, CJet FBO Service Aéroportuaire Inc., launched in mid-2023. The new FBO offers a dedicated facility to support both private and commercial aviation services, enhancing operational efficiency and client experience in the region.
