Classic Jet, based in Vilnius, has officially retired its only Hawker 850XP aircraft, marking the end of its service with the carrier and its tenure in Lithuania. The aircraft, registered as LY-BGD and bearing the manufacturer’s serial number 258813, completed its final flights on November 24 and 25, 2024. The jet traveled from Vilnius, making stops in Reykjavik Keflavik and Bangor International, before reaching its final destination at Fort Lauderdale International, where it is currently parked.

On December 16, 2024, the aircraft underwent a change of registration to N900KG in the United States. Configured to accommodate up to eight passengers, the Hawker 850XP had been a part of Classic Jet’s fleet since 2022. Its retirement marks the departure of the last aircraft of this model from Lithuanian skies.

Following the retirement of the Hawker 850XP, Classic Jet’s fleet has been reduced to a single aircraft, a 15-year-old Hawker 750. This move comes as the airline continues to streamline its operations.

Meanwhile, Lithuania’s other operator of Hawker aircraft, Charter JETS, continues to maintain its fleet which includes one 800XP, one 800XPi, and a Falcon 2000S, ensuring that the Hawker presence in the country, though diminished, persists.
