Clay Lacy Aviation, based in Van Nuys, has resumed its Citation Sovereign charter operations by adding a new aircraft to its Part 135-certified fleet. The aircraft, registered as N120CB with manufacturer serial number 680-0074, is an 18.7-year-old jet configured for up to eight passengers. Currently based at Seattle Boeing Field, the jet has a storied history in the private aviation market.
Previously operated privately in the United States, N120CB was retired from the charter fleet of Priester Aviation, where it served from 2018 until February 2024. Following its retirement, the jet underwent a period of inactivity before being reactivated by Clay Lacy Aviation. This move marks a significant step in the company’s ongoing efforts to expand and modernize its fleet for charter operations.
Clay Lacy Aviation has a history with the Citation Sovereign model, having operated two other Citation Sovereign jets in the past. One was in service between 2010 and 2012, and another was operated in 2019. The addition of N120CB to its fleet represents the resumption of this particular model’s charter service, reinforcing the company’s commitment to offering a diverse and reliable fleet of Bombardier business jets.
