Condor Expands A330-900 Fleet with Order for Three Additional Aircraft

Condor (DE), the German leisure carrier, has increased its commitment to the Airbus A330-900 by ordering three additional aircraft, bringing its total order for the type to 21. The newly ordered A330-900s are expected to be delivered in 2026 and 2027.

Condor initially placed an order for sixteen A330-900s in July 2021, which included seven directly from Airbus and nine from lessors. Subsequently, the airline added two more A330-900s to its order in 2022. Currently, ten A330-900s have been delivered to Condor as part of its fleet modernization strategy.

The additional A330-900 deliveries will facilitate the retirement of Condor’s remaining six B767-300ER aircraft. The carrier has been gradually phasing out older aircraft models to optimize its fleet. In addition to the A330-900s, Condor operates four A330-200s, introduced initially as an interim crew training solution before the A330neo fleet expansion.

Condor’s narrowbody fleet consists of twelve A320-200s, eleven A321-200s, and nine B757-300s. The airline has a significant number of A320neo and A321neo aircraft on order, which will further contribute to its modernization efforts and operational efficiency.
