Condor Retires Boeing 757 Fleet After 35 Years of Service

German leisure airline Condor has officially retired its Boeing 757 fleet after 35 years, marking the end of an era with a special farewell flight between Frankfurt and Vienna on November 5, 2025. The commemorative journey was operated by the airline’s final Boeing 757-300, registered D-ABOM, painted in Condor’s signature red-and-white “Red Passion” livery.
Over 100 passengers, including longtime employees, aviation journalists, and dedicated Boeing 757 enthusiasts, joined the event. Seventy-five tickets were auctioned earlier in the year, offering fans a once-in-a-lifetime chance to take part in Condor’s “world’s highest party.” The flight, numbered DE757, received a celebratory water cannon salute upon arrival in Vienna before returning to Frankfurt the same afternoon.
During the return leg, the crew traced a giant “757” in the sky over northern Germany, delighting more than a million aviation followers tracking the flight online. Passengers enjoyed in-flight entertainment featuring a live DJ, themed cocktails, and collectible 757 enamel pins.
The retirement of the Boeing 757 marks a major milestone in Condor’s transition toward a fully Airbus fleet. The airline now operates A320s, A321s, and A330-900neos, with 43 next-generation Airbus aircraft on order.
“This farewell marks both the end of a proud Boeing era and the beginning of a new, more sustainable chapter for Condor,” said COO Christian Schmitt. “Our modern Airbus fleet represents efficiency, comfort, and a commitment to greener aviation.”
