Copper Mountain, a popular ski resort in Colorado, is introducing a new destination for winter enthusiasts to relax and dine – The Aerie. This 25,000-square-foot mid-mountain lodge, perched at 11,200 feet above sea level, adds a touch of luxury to the ski experience.

The resort recently celebrated the grand opening of The Aerie with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by ski area leaders.

The Aerie offers a two-story facility that includes several dining options and breathtaking 270-degree views of the Gore and Ten Mile mountain ranges. Here are some highlights of what visitors can expect at The Aerie:

  1. Forage and Feast: This fine dining restaurant at The Aerie will showcase Colorado cuisine, featuring dishes like elk-jalapeno sausage and beef brisket chili rojo.
  2. Five-Station Food Hall: For a more casual dining experience, the lodge offers a food hall with a variety of culinary options.
  3. Camp Hale Coffee: Warm up with a hot beverage from Camp Hale Coffee, perfect for chilly mountain mornings.
  4. Private Event Space: The Aerie includes a private event space for special occasions and gatherings.

Access to The Aerie is made convenient as it sits atop the American Eagle lift, which accommodates open-air chairs and enclosed gondola cabins. The gondola unloads on the lodge’s second-floor deck, allowing non-skiers to enjoy the amenities as well.

Throughout the season, The Aerie plans to host various events and programming, including holiday dinners and moonlight “dine and ski” experiences.

Copper Mountain, located approximately 75 miles west of Denver, officially opened for the winter season on November 13th, making The Aerie an exciting addition for visitors seeking both adventure and comfort during their ski trips.
