Corendon Dutch Airlines has received its inaugural Boeing 737-9 on September 30, marking the initial addition of this model to the Corendon group’s three sister Air Operator Certificates (AOCs).

The newly delivered aircraft, registered as PH-CDP, made its journey directly from Seattle Boeing Field to Amsterdam Schiphol. Configured for a single-class layout, the B737-9 has a maximum capacity of up to 213 passengers. Corendon Dutch Airlines plans to lease three B737-9s from Air Lease Corporation, with PH-CDP being the first of this batch.

Currently operating three B737-800s, Corendon Dutch Airlines is set to further diversify its fleet. During the winter season, the airline will wet-lease an A350-900 from World2Fly (Spain) and may consider adding in-house widebodies following the trial.

Corendon Airlines, another sister carrier within the Corendon group, already operates seven B737-8s (six leased from Air Lease Corporation and one from BOC Aviation) along with thirteen B737-800s. The group’s third entity, Corendon Airlines Europe, manages fourteen B737-800s and does not operate any MAX jets.

This strategic addition of the B737-9 to Corendon Dutch Airlines’ fleet reflects the group’s commitment to fleet modernization and expansion, enhancing its operational capabilities and overall customer experience.
