Correos Cargo launches Madrid-Hong Kong cargo service
Spanish postal group Correos Cargo has launched a twice-weekly Madrid-Hong Kong air cargo service to help Spanish companies grow their supply chains amid the e-commerce boom.
The “Milana Bonita” Airbus A330 has a cargo capacity of 50 tons and offers air transport for all types of materials and sectors.
It’s not clear whether the aircraft is a preighter or has undergone conversion. Air Cargo News has contacted Correos Cargo for comment.
It will operate on Mondays and Fridays.
These regular flights are added to the cargo charter flights announced by the company in March.
“With this new service, the company wants to help and favour the internationalisation of Spanish companies, as well as the export of their products in the markets of the East,” said Correos Cargo.
The company is planning up to three new aircraft by the end of 2024.
Correos launched Correos Cargo in January to offer a parcel and merchandise air transport service to meet expanding e-commerce demand and strengthen Latin America-Europe-Asia logistics.
