Council authorizes San Antonio Grand Hyatt sale

The San Antonio City Council has approved a deal that will allow for the sale of one of the city’s tallest hotels to an Arizona nonprofit. The 1,000-room Grand Hyatt, beset by heavy losses from the pandemic, would be sold under the agreement to Community Finance Corp., using $450 million in bonds, with Hyatt Hotels continuing as manager.
