COVID-19 a factor in air passenger count drop in Aug.
The US air passenger count dipped from 2,004,220 per day in the first two weeks in July to 1,973,077 for the first two weeks of August, according to data from the Transportation Security Administration. This decrease could be due to a surge in COVID-19 cases or a typical drop in leisure travel, which makes up a larger part of the market, especially since business travel is significantly still down.
