Cunard Announces New Event Voyages for 2024

Cunard announced that its flagship, Queen Mary 2 will host four of seven newly-themed voyages in 2024 crossing the Atlantic. The remaining three will be onboard Queen Elizabeth navigating through the waters of Australia and Japan.

According to Matt Gleaves, VP Commercial, Cunard North America, “Cunard’s Event Voyages offer far more than just stand-out performances. Each is expertly curated to offer our guests unique opportunities to immerse themselves into a theme or occasion, meeting and hearing from world-renowned leaders in their fields, many with interactive workshops and a program of activities and performances to choose from throughout the day and evening. And of course, all offered with the luxurious backdrops of the Cunard Queens and all while enjoying the signature touches you can always look forward to with Cunard.”

Back by popular demand, the “London Theatre at Sea” is an eight-night Eastbound Transatlantic Crossing of musical theatre in partnership with Olivier Awards. The voyage features immersive acting workshops, behind-the-scenes presentations and award-winning performances curated by Julian Bird, OBE.

The “Literature Festival at Sea” returns in November 2024 featuring seven days of literary events on a westbound Transatlantic Crossing. Partnering with the programming team at The Times and The Sunday Times Cheltenham Literature Festival, the event features more than 20 acclaimed authors such as past headliners Ian Rankin, Victoria Hislop and Simon Armitage.

August 2024 represents a historical milestone as the Queen Mary 2 embarks on her 400th Transatlantic Crossing from New York to Southampton.

Cunard’s National Symphony Orchestra’s 15th anniversary will be celebrated on a nine-night Eastbound Transatlantic with maestro Anthony Ingles via Newport and Boston in October 2024. Guests can rehearse with the choir and enjoy classical concerts in the Royal Court Theatre.

Queen Elizabeth plays host to the first-of-its-kind Sporting Greats & Wellness Voyage in January 2024, offering sports fans the opportunity to sail with some of Australia’s most iconic sporting superstars. This includes legendary cricketer Brett Lee, celebrated golfer Karrie Webb, and Amanda McLaren, owner of the British luxury car company.

The Great Australian Culinary Voyage on Queen Elizabeth in January, promises a foray into the world of food and wine, including special guest and award-winning chef Karen Martini taking over The Steakhouse at The Verandah.

A Big Band Ball voyage in May invites dance and music lovers from everywhere to celebrate the magnificent Swing era while exploring enticing ports of Japan on this nine-night circumnavigation. Special guests include internationally acclaimed vocalist, pianist and songwriter, Joe Stilgoe.
