Cunard Reports Record Bookings Driven by Queen Anne Launch
Cunard has achieved record-breaking bookings in 2024, fueled by the highly anticipated launch of its new ship, Queen Anne, in May. Between January 1 and October 31, the luxury cruise line recorded 73,000 additional reservations compared to the same period in 2023, marking a 23% year-over-year increase and the highest number of bookings in Cunard’s history.
Travelers from the United Kingdom and North America played a significant role in this surge. Bookings from the U.K. increased by 24%, while North American reservations rose by an impressive 29%. Notably, over half of Cunard’s bookings originated from international guests, with global bookings climbing 22% overall.
The cruise line also saw a 49% rise in first-time guests, underscoring its growing appeal beyond loyal clientele.
Cunard attributes this success to the debut of Queen Anne, which expanded its fleet capacity, as well as the launch of exciting new itineraries for winter 2026, summer 2026, and winter 2027.
Katie McAlister, President of Cunard, stated, “As an iconic British brand with growing international appeal, Cunard continues to attract travelers worldwide who are drawn to the timeless elegance and modern luxury we provide. The launch of Queen Anne has been a key driver of this success, capturing the imagination of both loyal and first-time guests.”
This milestone highlights Cunard’s enduring legacy as a leader in luxury cruising and its ability to innovate while maintaining its hallmark elegance and sophistication.
