Fiji Airways is expanding its North American network with the introduction of nonstop flights between Nadi and Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW). This new service, marking the first direct connection between these destinations, will operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays using Airbus A350-900 XWB aircraft. The inaugural flight is set to depart on December 10, 2024.

Fiji Airways CEO and Managing Director Andre Viljoen highlighted that this new route is expected to bring over 1,000 passengers weekly into Fiji, significantly boosting the country’s tourism sector. The overnight flight will also enhance connectivity between the South Pacific and North America, providing better access for travelers.

As a oneworld Connect partner with an existing codeshare agreement with American Airlines, Fiji Airways plans to integrate into the American Airlines AAdvantage loyalty program in the coming year. The airline is set to become the 15th full member of the oneworld alliance in 2025.

Dallas will become Fiji Airways’ 24th international direct destination and the fifth in North America, joining Honolulu, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Vancouver. According to Sabre Market Intelligence, outbound and inbound traffic between Fiji and the U.S. reached 166,482 passengers in 2023, representing a 39% year-on-year increase. Fiji Airways remains the only carrier offering nonstop flights between Fiji and the United States.
