Dallas voters will be asked to raise hotel tax by 2%

The Dallas City Council has voted to place a 2% hotel tax increase on the November referendum ballot in the hope of raising $1.5 billion to rebuild the Dallas Convention Center and update the city’s Fair Park. The Hotel Association of North Texas supports the proposal as a necessity for meeting competition from other cities.
