De Havilland Canada has secured a Letter of Intent from IndiaOne Air to acquire up to 10 Twin Otter Series 300-G aircraft, marking a significant fleet expansion for the regional carrier. The announcement was made on November 18, 2025, at the Dubai Airshow.

IndiaOne Air, based in Ahmedabad, operates routes to remote and underserved regions across India. CEO Kumar Garg said the Twin Otter 300-G is ideally suited for the airline’s mission of connecting difficult-to-reach destinations. “Its performance, reliability and versatility align perfectly with our mission of bringing air travel accessibility to every corner of India,” he said.

The Twin Otter 300-G is the latest evolution of the iconic platform, offering advanced avionics and renowned short takeoff and landing (STOL) capabilities, making it well-suited for airports with short or unpaved runways. The aircraft will enable IndiaOne Air to expand service to regions with limited airport infrastructure.

“We are proud to welcome IndiaOne Air to the De Havilland family,” said Ryan DeBrusk, vice president of sales and marketing at De Havilland Canada. “Their selection of the Twin Otter 300-G underscores the aircraft’s proven performance in challenging environments worldwide.”

Starlink Connectivity for Dash 8-400

During the airshow, De Havilland Canada also announced a new retrofit option to equip Dash 8-400 aircraft with Starlink high-speed in-flight internet. The connectivity solution will be offered both as a factory option through the OEM Refurbishment Program and as a retrofit for in-service aircraft.

“With Starlink, passengers can enjoy reliable, high-speed internet for streaming, browsing and real-time apps—bringing regional flying in line with modern expectations,” DeBrusk said.

The combined announcements underscore De Havilland Canada’s push to modernize regional aviation fleets with versatile aircraft and next-generation onboard technologies.
