Decoration won’t do for hoteliers displaying art

Hotels are increasingly doubling as art galleries to strike cultural chords in guests and to showcase local creators and local attractions. “We believe that the arts encourage conversations with others and that everyone should be able to find something that they connect with,” says Samantha Timm, curator at Milwaukee’s Saint Kate hotel, whose owners are longtime arts patrons.
