Delta Air Lines Launches SkyMiles for Business for Small and Medium-Sized Businesses

Delta Air Lines is revamping its business loyalty program and will launch SkyMiles for Business in October 2023 with an eye toward small and medium-sized businesses. The new program is free to join and will offer benefits to businesses that spend relatively little on corporate travel.

SkyMiles for Business will replace the current SkyBonus program, which rewards businesses with points that can be redeemed for flights, upgrades, and other perks. The new program will allow businesses to earn SkyMiles instead of points, which can be used for award travel, eCredits, Silver Medallion Status, and more.

According to Delta, the new program was inspired by feedback from customers who wanted more flexibility and simplicity in their business travel. “SkyMiles for Business was designed to reward our small and medium-sized business customers for their loyalty and help them elevate their travel experience,” said Kristen Shovlin, Delta’s Vice President of Sales Operations and Development.

Businesses of all sizes can join SkyMiles for Business, but they will need to spend at least $5,000 annually and have at least five employee travelers to earn miles. Businesses that opt into the new program before October will also receive a one-time bonus of 10,000 SkyMiles.

Delta Air Lines is one of the leading airlines in the U.S., serving more than 200 million customers each year. The airline offers service to over 300 destinations in 60 countries on six continents. Delta is also a founding member of the SkyTeam global alliance, which provides access to more than 1,000 destinations worldwide.
