Delta Pilot Executes Impressive Emergency Landing as 717 Nose Landing Gear Fails to Deploy

The incident took place during a Delta flight that departed from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) at 7:25 am local time on June 28, 2023.
As the aircraft approached Charlotte-Douglas International Airport (CLT) for landing, the flight crew received an alert indicating an “unsafe nose gear.” Responding swiftly and cautiously, the pilot initiated a “missed approach procedure” to allow additional time to investigate the situation.
