Delta Air Lines has announced its busiest-ever flying program for the summer of 2025 from its Atlanta base, solidifying Atlanta-Hartsfield International Airport (ATL) as the world’s busiest airport. The airline plans to offer 1.1 million weekly seats across 968 daily flights to 215 destinations, marking its largest schedule ever from Atlanta. This program adds around 75 additional daily departures compared to summer 2024.

Delta’s international operations from Atlanta continue to expand, now serving 66 international destinations. In 2025, the airline will introduce new flights to Naples (Italy) and Brussels (Belgium), along with increased frequencies to Rome, Zurich, Barcelona, Athens, Cancun, Toronto, Barbados, and Curacao.

Domestically, Delta will enhance its flight schedules across the U.S., including a 20% increase in intra-state seats in Georgia, connecting cities such as Savannah, Augusta, Albany, Brunswick, Columbus, and Valdosta.

“Atlanta’s position as a global leader for cultural and business connectivity is only enhanced by Delta’s expansion of their domestic and international network,” said Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens. Delta’s commitment is evident, with 87% of all departures from ATL operated on mainline aircraft, up from 79% in 2019.

Delta has invested over $12 billion in modernizing its Atlanta facilities over the past decade, significantly contributing to the airport’s $10.8 billion redevelopment program. This includes expanding Concourse D and plans for a new Delta Sky Club before summer 2025, along with a touchless experience for bag drop and security using Digital ID.

The airline emphasizes convenient schedules for Atlanta travelers, with 56 markets featuring eight or more daily flights, catering to both business and leisure travelers. Delta’s presence anchors Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport as a key driver of economic growth, employing over 36,000 people and supporting Georgia’s tourism sector, which generated nearly $80 billion in 2023.

“Delta delivers positive impacts statewide, supporting increased business travel and contributing to Georgia’s aerospace ecosystem through its TechOps division, the largest airline maintenance, repair, and overhaul provider in North America,” concluded Georgia Department of Economic Development Commissioner Pat Wilson.
