Delta and LATAM Expand Service to Colombia and Peru

Delta Air Lines and its partner LATAM Airlines are boosting their service to Colombia and Peru, offering more options for travelers between the US and South America.

Delta announced that it will launch a new route between Atlanta and Cartagena, Colombia, starting on December 18. The service will operate four times a week on Boeing 737-800 aircraft, with 16 seats in First Class, 36 seats in Delta Comfort+ and 108 seats in Main Cabin. The flight will depart Atlanta at 9:45 a.m. and arrive in Cartagena at 1:55 p.m. The return flight will depart Cartagena at 2:55 p.m. and arrive in Atlanta at 7:10 p.m.

Delta also announced that it will add a second daily flight from Atlanta to Bogota, Colombia, starting on October 1. The additional service will operate on Airbus A330-300 aircraft, with 34 seats in Delta One, 40 seats in Delta Comfort+ and 219 seats in Main Cabin. The flight will depart Atlanta at 5:55 p.m. and arrive in Bogota at 10:35 p.m. The return flight will depart Bogota at 11:59 p.m. and arrive in Atlanta at 4:49 a.m.

Meanwhile, LATAM announced that it will offer new service between Medellin, Colombia, and Miami and Atlanta, starting on November 15. The service will operate three times a week on Boeing 767-300 aircraft, with 30 seats in Premium Business and 191 seats in Economy.

The flight will depart Medellin at 8:15 a.m. and arrive in Miami at 12:25 p.m. The flight will then continue to Atlanta, departing Miami at 2:25 p.m. and arriving in Atlanta at 4:40 p.m. The return flight will depart Atlanta at 6:40 p.m. and arrive in Miami at 8:55 p.m. The flight will then continue to Medellin, departing Miami at 10:55 p.m. and arriving in Medellin at 3:05 a.m.

LATAM also announced that it will offer new service between Atlanta and Lima, Peru, starting on December 1. The service will operate four times a week on Boeing 767-300 aircraft, with the same configuration as the Medellin flights.

The flight will depart Atlanta at 5:40 p.m. and arrive in Lima at 12:30 a.m. The return flight will depart Lima at 1:30 a.m. and arrive in Atlanta at 8:20 a.m.

Both Delta and LATAM are members of the SkyTeam alliance and have a codeshare agreement that allows them to offer seamless connections and benefits to their customers across their networks. The new flights are subject to government approval and are now available for booking.
