Delta asks CDC to shorten COVID-19 isolation period

In a letter to CDC Director Rochelle Walensky, Delta Air Lines CEO Ed Bastian, and the airline’s health and medical advisors, asked the agency to shorten the recommended isolation period for vaccinated people who test positive for COVID-19 from 10 days to 5 days, pointing out that evidence shows they will recover relatively quickly and have milder symptoms. “Our employees represent an essential workforce to enable Americans who need to travel domestically and internationally,” the letter said.
