Delta creates career pathways for pilots, technicians

Delta Air Lines Capt. Patrick Burns participated in a panel last week moderated by A4A’s CEO, Nicholas Calio to discuss the industry initiative to bolster the talent pipeline. Burns, who is Delta’s vice president for flight operations and system chief pilot, understands the need well, as he started his career as a ramp employee at Philadelphia International Airport and “worked in every above- and below-wing department at Delta” while earning his wings.
