Delta helps Gates Foundation donate unused ticket value

Rather than hold or request refunds for more than $100,000 in airline tickets, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation worked with Delta Air Lines to donate the value to Feeding America, GLAAD and The National Center for Civil and Human Rights. Delta agreed to waive all fees associated with turning tickets in specific passengers’ names into Universal Travel Plan cards.
