Delta to Launch First Nonstop US-Saudi Arabia Flights in 2026

Delta Air Lines will become the first U.S. carrier to operate nonstop flights to Saudi Arabia, with new service scheduled to begin in October 2026. The airline announced that it will launch three weekly flights between Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (ATL) and Riyadh King Khalid International Airport (RUH) using Airbus A350-900 aircraft.
“Launching service to Riyadh marks a key step in Delta’s global growth as we start our second century of flight,” said Delta CEO Ed Bastian. He added that the route will expand connectivity to a fast-growing region and support new opportunities for business, tourism, and cultural exchange.
The A350-900 serving the route will offer Delta One lie-flat business class, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+, and Main Cabin, giving travelers multiple long-haul comfort options.
Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al-Khateeb welcomed the announcement, calling the route a major milestone that will strengthen ties between the two countries and boost inbound and outbound travel.
Delta said the route aligns with increasing commercial and investment links between the U.S. and Saudi Arabia, particularly as the kingdom expands tourism under its Vision 2030 diversification strategy. While Bastian acknowledged that many U.S. travelers are still unfamiliar with Saudi Arabia as a leisure destination, he noted growing global interest in the country.
At over 7,000 miles, the Atlanta–Riyadh flight will be among Delta’s longest nonstop routes. Saudi national carrier Saudia already operates direct services to several U.S. cities.
