Delta, TSA expand biometric security to Atlanta

Delta Air Lines passengers who are enrolled in its SkyMiles program and the Transportation Security Administration’s PreCheck program can opt-in for an expedited security checkpoint screening that uses facial recognition technology at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and eliminates the need to show a paper boarding pass or a physical ID. Delta and the TSA have been testing the biometric scanning program at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport since early 2021.
