Delta Unveils Unique New Business Lounge in Seattle

Delta Air Lines is elevating the premium travel experience in Seattle with the opening of its new Delta One Lounge at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA). This marks Delta’s fourth business-class-only lounge and the first on the West Coast, reinforcing its competitive presence against hometown rival Alaska Airlines.
Delta has been steadily growing its Seattle hub since ending its codeshare partnership with Alaska in the mid-2010s. The latest addition, a stunning Delta One Lounge, is part of a strategic investment to attract high-end travelers and support its expanding network of long-haul routes from Seattle.
Opening Thursday, the Delta One Lounge is tailored exclusively for business-class passengers flying Delta One and select international partners. It’s joined by a brand-new Delta Sky Club, which opens Wednesday and operates on a membership basis. Together, these premium spaces mark a new chapter in Delta’s Seattle expansion strategy.
Both lounges are located in a newly built, multilevel structure adjacent to Gate A11 in Concourse A. The project, which cost more than $125 million, was funded entirely by Delta. The lounge complex aims to deliver a luxury hospitality experience with elevated dining, relaxation zones, and locally inspired design.
Delta’s rapid lounge development—starting with its first Delta One Lounge in New York less than a year ago—signals its commitment to competing at the highest level in key markets like Seattle, where Alaska Airlines is simultaneously developing its own international flagship lounge.
The Delta One Lounge at SEA opens just as two new long-haul international routes also take flight.
