Destination by Hyatt Debuts in South America with The Legend Paracas Resort in Peru
Destination by Hyatt, in partnership with El Pardo Hospitality, is set to open The Legend Paracas Resort, marking its first foray into South America. Located in Paracas, Peru, just three miles south of Lima, this new addition to the Destination by Hyatt brand is currently undergoing a comprehensive 24-month upgrade, which includes the enhancement of guest rooms, culinary offerings, and public spaces.
Slated to open in June, The Legend Paracas Resort will feature 124 private suites, each boasting its own balcony. Guests will enjoy a variety of amenities including a fitness center, a full-service spa, and an ocean-facing pool with a swim-up bar. The on-site restaurant and bar will offer a menu inspired by local Peruvian flavors, adding to the immersive experience.
The resort will provide a plethora of activities tailored to both adventure seekers and families. These include kitesurfing, wakeboarding, kayaking, paddleboarding, sandboarding, and buggy excursions. For younger guests, a range of kid-friendly adventures will be available, making it an ideal family destination.
Ricardo Bracale, CEO of El Pardo Hospitality, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “We are very excited to join Hyatt’s Independent Collection and deliver the Destination by Hyatt brand promise in the charming town of Paracas, Peru. This next chapter will allow us to further elevate our value proposition and offer guests and World of Hyatt members an even more personalized and memorable experience that connects them with the unique culture and community of Paracas.”
The Legend Paracas Resort is uniquely situated between the Paracas Nature Reserve and the Pacific Ocean, with design elements that reflect the natural and cultural richness of the area. This includes the use of local woods and fabrics, and it offers stunning views that encapsulate the beauty of the region.
Cristiano Gonçalves, vice president of development for South America at Hyatt, highlighted the strategic expansion, saying, “Our plan to thoughtfully grow our brands in South America continues, and we look forward to introducing guests and World of Hyatt members to new cultural experiences in one-of-a-kind destinations.”
Guests will also have the opportunity to explore the rich history and diverse ecological landscapes surrounding the resort, including the pre-Columbian cultures and nature reserves that range from islands to deserts, further enriching their stay at The Legend Paracas Resort.
