PORT EVERGLADES, FLORIDA – Disney Cruise Line has officially christened its newest ship, the Disney Destiny, with Broadway and Disney legend Susan Egan—best known as the voice of Meg in Hercules—revealed as the ship’s Godmother during the ceremony itself.

The event opened with remarks from Josh D’Amaro, Chairman of Disney Experiences, and Joe Schott, President of Disney Signature Experiences, followed by cast performances of iconic Disney hero and villain songs in front of the Port Everglades terminal.

Disney Destiny is the third ship in the Wish Class, following Disney Wish (2022) and Disney Treasure (2024). Its theme centers on “Heroes and Villains,” showcased prominently through character artwork on the ship’s exterior: Spider-Man and his Spider-Bots appear on the stern, while Hero Minnie Mouse graces the bow.

The ship’s entertainment celebrates the theme with a Broadway-style production of Disney Hercules, featuring a new original song, and the debut of Pride Lands: Feast of the Lion King, a fully immersive dining-and-performance experience inspired by The Lion King.

Throughout the ship, guests will find lounges and bars themed to classic Disney stories, including the eerie charm of The Haunted Mansion, the swashbuckling spirit of Pirates of the Caribbean, and a sleek Cruella de Vil–inspired venue. Character encounters will feature both beloved heroes and iconic villains such as Maleficent and Dr. Facilier.

Staterooms continue the theme with artwork inspired by Hercules, Mulan and Brave, all designed with Disney’s family-friendly split-bath layout.

Disney Destiny’s inaugural season begins November 20, offering 4- and 5-night cruises to The Bahamas and the Caribbean, including visits to Disney Castaway Cay and the brand-new Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.
