Disney Cruise Line is set to expand its fleet with the addition of four new ships, scheduled to launch between 2027 and 2031. The announcement was made by Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D’Amaro during the Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event on August 10.

The new vessels will join the existing fleet of five ships currently in operation and four more that are already under construction. D’Amaro also provided updates on the latest signature entertainment coming to the new ships.

The Disney Destiny, debuting in November 2025, will feature the signature musical production “Disney Hercules,” inspired by the popular Walt Disney Animation Studios film. Additionally, the Disney Treasure, set to begin its maiden voyage in November 2024, will showcase a new stage production, “Disney The Tale of Moana,” which will include a 15-foot-tall puppet of Te Kā, the largest ever created for a Disney Cruise Line show.

At the D23 event, Disney Cruise Line unveiled crew member costume designs for two new venues aboard the Disney Treasure: Haunted Mansion Parlor, inspired by the classic theme park attraction, and Periscope Pub, themed after Walt Disney’s 1954 film “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.” Senior Costume Designer Josh Winchester, who also designed uniforms for the Disney Wish, created these costumes, blending elements from the original park attractions and films with unique touches for Disney Cruise Line.
