Disney Cruise Line Welcomes New Ship Disney Destiny

Disney Cruise Line has officially taken delivery of its newest ship, the Disney Destiny, marking another major milestone in its growing fleet. The vessel was handed over by the shipbuilding team at Meyer Werft during a ceremony in Eemshaven, the Netherlands.
Themed around the timeless battle between heroes and villains, Disney Destiny will make her debut in November from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The ship will operate four- and five-night sailings to The Bahamas and the Western Caribbean, offering immersive entertainment and family-friendly experiences that celebrate Disney storytelling.
“This delivery marks another milestone in our long-standing partnership with Disney Cruise Line,” said Bernd Eikens, chief executive officer of Meyer Werft. “I would like to express my sincere thanks to everyone involved in bringing this extraordinary ship to life.”
Disney Destiny is the sixth vessel Meyer Werft has built for Disney Cruise Line, following Disney Dream in 2010, Disney Fantasy in 2012, and Disney Wish in 2022. The shipbuilder is also currently working on another sister ship scheduled for completion in the fall of 2027.
With the addition of Disney Destiny, Disney Cruise Line continues to expand its offerings across the Caribbean and The Bahamas, providing guests with new ways to experience the magic of Disney at sea.
