Disney Destiny: New Ship Details and Dining Venues
Disney Cruise Line has unveiled details about its upcoming ship, Disney Destiny, launching in late 2025. The 144,000-gross-ton vessel, themed around heroes and villains, will sail from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Powered by liquefied natural gas, Disney Destiny will accommodate up to 4,000 passengers.
Dining Venues
- Pride Lands: Feast of The Lion King: A savanna-inspired dining experience with music and live performances from “The Lion King,” including “Circle of Life” and “Hakuna Matata.”
- Edna Á La Mode Sweets: A confectionery shop inspired by Edna Mode from “The Incredibles,” featuring gelato, ice cream, and other treats in a setting reminiscent of the “Auntie Edna” short film.
- Café Megara: A casual café with a “Greco disco” design, celebrating “Hercules” with Greek-inspired decor.
- Café Merida: Another casual café with a Celtic-inspired design, honoring the heroine from “Brave.”
Staterooms
- Standard Staterooms: Featuring artwork of Disney legends, many with Disney Cruise Line’s signature split-bath concept and options for adjoining rooms.
- Concierge Staterooms: Exclusive areas and amenities including a concierge lounge and private sun deck, decorated with watercolor-style artwork inspired by “Fantasia.”
- IncrediSuites: Mid-century modern design with elements inspired by “The Incredibles.”
Royal Suites
- Four Royal Suites: Designed with themes from “Hercules” and “The Incredibles,” offering luxurious accommodations with distinctive Disney touches.
