Donald Trump’s Boeing 757 Involved in Runway Collision at West Palm Beach Airport
Donald Trump’s private Boeing 757, often referred to as “Trump Force One,” was involved in a minor collision on a runway at West Palm Beach International Airport in Florida. The incident, which occurred on Sunday, involved Trump’s aircraft clipping a small private jet operated by VistaJet charter service. According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), which is currently investigating, no injuries were reported.
Local NBC affiliate WFLA identified the aircraft as belonging to Trump by matching its registration number with that of aircraft operated by DJT Operations I LLC. It remains unclear whether Trump was on board at the time of the incident.
The Boeing 757, a prominent symbol of Trump’s brand as a businessman, was purchased from Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen in 2011. During his 2016 presidential campaign, Trump frequently used the jet to travel to rallies, often disembarking directly in front of his supporters gathered in hangars. While serving as president, Trump switched to using Air Force One.
Following his loss in the 2020 presidential election, the plane was reportedly inactive for nearly two years. It was recently reactivated as Trump began his campaign for the 2024 presidential election. Just a day before the collision, Trump had used the jet to travel from New York City’s LaGuardia Airport to Wildwood, New Jersey, amid ongoing legal battles in New York related to allegations of fraud and “hush money” payments.
The nickname “Trump Force One” has been adopted by Trump’s staff, echoing the former president’s continued high-profile use of the jet in his post-presidency activities.
