DR Congo’s flyCAA outlines A320 deployment plans
flyCAA (BU, Kinshasa N’Djili) began commercial operations of its first and newly delivered A320-200 on July 10, 2021, and has since outlined its domestic network for the type.
According to the carrier’s schedule, it will deploy the A320 out of its base at Kinshasa N’Djili airport to the following Congolese destinations:
- Lubumbashi via Kananga (weekly),
- Lubumbashi via Kisangani, Goma, and Kalemie (weekly),
- Lubumbashi via Mbuji Mayi (2x weekly),
- Mbandaka (weekly),
- Mbuji Mayi (weekly), and
- Kisangani (weekly).
The Congolese carrier resumed A320 operations after a five-year gap, having previously retired the type in April 2016. 9S-ABM (msn 3900) is outfitted to carry up to156 passengers, including 12 in business class and 144 in economy. Besides the A320-200, flyCAA also operates two ATR72-500s, one A330-200, and one ATR72-500(F).
