Eclair Aviation Reintroduces Challenger 605 to Fleet
Eclair Aviation has added a renewed edge to its fleet by reintroducing the Bombardier Challenger 605, a move confirmed by ch-aviation research in March 2025. This strategic addition to the Prague Václav Havel-based operator’s portfolio underscores its commitment to offering modern, high-performance aircraft for corporate jet charters and management.
The newly registered Challenger 605, carrying the msn OK-BPS, is an 11.4-year-old Bombardier Business Aircraft that officially joined Czechia’s registry on March 5. Currently stationed at London Biggin Hill, the aircraft awaits entry into active service with Eclair Aviation. The decision to bring back the Challenger 605 reflects the operator’s confidence in the platform’s performance, comfort, and efficiency, which remain highly relevant in today’s competitive private jet market.
Eclair Aviation’s fleet has seen several changes over the years, and the Challenger 605 is no stranger to the company. Previously, the operator had managed a Challenger 605 between 2021 and 2022, and its comeback now signals a robust retooling of its service offerings. Alongside the Challenger 605, the company’s current fleet includes premium jets such as the Global 6000, the G200, and the G280, which cater to a diverse range of corporate and private charter requirements.
Before joining Eclair Aviation, the aircraft was known under the registration HB-JSG in Switzerland and was based in Stuttgart. It was one of the last Challenger 605 aircraft operated by German engineering and technology conglomerate Robert Bosch. The aircraft was gradually phased out from Bosch’s operations at the end of 2024, marking the conclusion of an era for the company’s corporate fleet.
Following its retirement from Bosch, the Challenger 605 was ferried to London Biggin Hill on January 13, 2025, where it underwent a successful test flight on February 11. This refurbishment and repositioning have breathed new life into the airframe, making it ready for Eclair Aviation’s future operations. The aircraft’s return is part of a broader trend in the industry where operators seek to balance legacy aircraft performance with modern enhancements.
Meanwhile, Robert Bosch has also updated its own fleet by incorporating newer models such as the Challenger 650 and the Challenger 3500—the latter of which was delivered recently.
