El Paso, Texas plots $177M investment to improve airport

Buoyed by the bipartisan infrastructure law, the El Paso city council envisions over $177 million in projects at Texas’ El Paso International Airport, including runway improvements, fixing design issues and building an “innovation factory” as part of the airport’s manufacturing campus. “I’ve worked at this airport for almost 20 years now and we’ve never had an infrastructure plan of this size,” said Terry Sharpe, assistant director of development for the airport.
