Private jet firm Elit’Avia, based in Malta, has recently increased its order for Aura Aero ERA hybrid planes from 20 to 28 during the prestigious Paris Air Show. The two companies made this announcement after Elit’Avia signed a new Letter of Intent for these innovative electric thrust aircraft, which can serve as both regional planes and private jets.

Elit’Avia is renowned for providing comprehensive private aviation solutions, including aircraft management, charter services, sales, acquisitions, and technical support. The ERA hybrid aircraft, considered a cutting-edge eco-responsible model, is designed to accommodate 19 passengers or transport 1.9 tons of freight.

In addition to its regional and freight capabilities, the ERA aircraft can be easily configured to function as a business jet, catering to eight or nine passengers while covering distances of up to 1,600 kilometers.

Michel Coulomb, the CEO and accountable manager at Elit’Avia International, emphasized the company’s commitment to sustainability, citing their Green Jet Card initiative that offers carbon neutrality for charter flights and their partnership with Azzera for greenhouse gas accounting and carbon offsetting.

The strategic partnership between Elit’Avia and Aura Aero marks a significant step towards a more sustainable approach within the private aviation industry. ERA, developed in France, has already garnered significant interest, with more than 300 aircraft on order under Letters of Intent since Aura Aero’s establishment in 2018.

Jérémy Caussade, the president and co-founder of Aura Aero, expressed immense pride in being chosen by Elit’Avia to decarbonize their operations and offer a sustainable solution for executive transportation. He strongly believes that electric aviation is the future of regional aviation and anticipates further advancements in this revolutionary field.

ERA is slated to enter commercial service before 2030, promising a greener and more eco-conscious future for the aviation sector.
