Elite Air Adds Praetor 600 to Fleet, Retires Hawker 400XP

Elite Air, based in St. Petersburg/Clearwater, has expanded its Part 135-certified fleet with the addition of its first Embraer Praetor 600 while retiring its sole Hawker 400XP in November 2024. This strategic fleet update reflects the company’s ongoing focus on enhancing its charter offerings.
The Praetor 600, registered as N5WN (msn 55020202), is a brand-new 2024 model. Initially operated privately, the aircraft has now joined Elite Air’s charter fleet and will be based in Florida. ADS-B tracking data indicates frequent operations out of Fort Lauderdale International Airport. The Praetor 600 complements Elite Air’s existing Embraer fleet, which includes two Legacy 600s and a Legacy 650, bolstering its capacity for luxury and efficient travel.
On the other hand, the Hawker 400XP, registered as N308KP (msn RK-474), completed its final flight under Elite Air’s code on October 15, 2024, flying from St. Petersburg/Clearwater to Miami Opa-Locka. The 19-year-old aircraft had been part of Elite Air’s fleet since 2018 and was the last of its type operated by the company. It is no longer listed as a Part 135-certified aircraft with any operator.
Despite retiring the Hawker 400XP, Elite Air continues to maintain a robust fleet of Hawker aircraft, including two Hawker 800XPis, a Hawker 850XP, and a recently acquired Hawker 900XP. This variety allows the operator to cater to diverse customer needs while maintaining operational flexibility.
Elite Air’s overall charter fleet remains highly versatile, offering a wide range of options for private aviation clients. The fleet includes two Challenger 300s, a Challenger 350, a Challenger 3500, a Citation XLS, two Gulfstream G200s, a G450, a G650ER, a Global 5500, two Global Express, a Learjet 31A, a Learjet 40XR, and two King Air B300s.
The addition of the Praetor 600 underscores Elite Air’s commitment to providing state-of-the-art aircraft with enhanced range and comfort, appealing to both business and leisure travelers. At the same time, the retirement of the Hawker 400XP aligns with the company’s efforts to modernize its fleet and meet evolving market demands.
