Embraer Expands Global Cooperation
Embraer is actively broadening its industrial cooperation efforts beyond Brazil to secure new growth opportunities and strengthen its global aerospace presence. On April 1, 2025, the Brazilian aircraft manufacturer signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Turkish Aerospace (TUSAŞ-Türk Havacılık ve Uzay Sanayii), Turkey’s state-owned aerospace company, during the LAAD Defence & Security 2025 trade show in Rio de Janeiro. This agreement establishes a framework for collaboration in both industrial and research domains and could potentially lead to the development of an assembly line for Embraer’s E2 family of commercial airliners in Turkey. Senior representatives from both the Turkish and Brazilian governments attended the signing, underscoring the strategic importance of this partnership for enhancing production capabilities and technological innovation overseas.
This new collaboration with Turkish Aerospace is a vital part of Embraer’s international strategy to tap into emerging markets and leverage global expertise. The potential Turkish assembly line for the E2 series promises to streamline production, reduce costs, and accelerate delivery times, while also contributing to the growth of Turkey’s own aerospace sector. In parallel with its Turkish initiative, Embraer has also been actively strengthening its ties in Poland. On March 11, 2025, Francisco Gomes Neto, Embraer’s President and CEO, visited Poland to reaffirm the company’s commitment to expanding cooperation with Polish suppliers and customers. During his visit, discussions centered on several key projects, including the possibility of establishing a final assembly line for the C-390 multi-role transport aircraft. Embraer is pitching the C-390 to the Polish Air Force as part of a broader effort to secure new defense contracts and expand its military aviation footprint. The discussions in Poland did not stop there—Embraer is also exploring opportunities to source critical components from local suppliers and to set up a dedicated service center to support its E2 airliner program.
Moreover, Embraer is considering collaborative research and development projects with the Łukasiewicz Institute of Aviation (iLOT), Poland’s leading aerospace research institute. These initiatives are designed to drive technological advancements and improve future aircraft designs, thereby reinforcing Embraer’s position as an innovative leader in the global aerospace market.
