Embraer secures a firm order for 15 E195-E2 aircraft
Embraer announced that it won a firm order from an undisclosed customer for 15 Embraer E195-E2 aircraft. It was the first order announced by the manufacturer in 2023.
Valued at $1.17 billion at list prices, the 15 aircraft will be added to Embraer’s Q4 2022 backlog. The manufacturer did not provide further details, such as the planned delivery dates or whether any additional services were added to the order.
In November 2022, Embraer indicated that it had won an order for five E195-E2s. Several days later, the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) confirmed that Binter Canarias, based in the Canary Islands, Spain, was the customer of the five jets. The quintuple aircraft are scheduled for delivery in 2023 and 2024.
As of Q3 2022, the Brazilian planemaker had 188 E195-E2s in its backlog, in addition to 103 E170s, and three E190s, as well as three E190-E2s. During that same quarter, the company delivered 10 commercial aircraft, including nine E175s and one E195-E2. Most recently, the second-generation Embraer jets gained certification in Canada and shortly afterward the manufacturer delivered the first two E195-E2s to Porter Airlines on December 12, 2022.
