Embraer is experiencing a robust sales year, returning to NBAA-BACE with a notable nearly 50% increase in third-quarter business jet deliveries. For the three months ending September 30, the Brazilian aircraft manufacturer delivered 41 executive jets and 16 commercial jetliners, reflecting an overall 33% increase compared to the same period last year, when 28 executive jets and 15 airliners were delivered.

Notably, Praetor deliveries surged to 19 in the third quarter, up from nine in the same timeframe in 2023. Phenom deliveries also showed improvement, reaching 22, compared to 19 in the previous year. For the first nine months of 2024, Embraer has delivered a total of 86 business jets and 42 airliners, an increase from 66 business jets and 39 airliners during the same period in 2023.

The backlog for Embraer’s Executive Jets division reached $4.4 billion in the third quarter, representing a 3% increase from the same quarter last year, though it marked a 4% decline from the second quarter of 2024.

As Embraer prepares for its presence at BACE, the company is showcasing its Phenom 100, Phenom 300E, and Praetor 600 business jets, alongside expanding its owned MRO service center network. The company is also committed to sustainability initiatives, arriving at NBAA-BACE using sustainable aviation fuel and endorsing NBAA’s “Green Pledge,” which emphasizes reducing printed materials and promoting sustainable practices at industry events.

Michael Amalfitano, president and CEO of Embraer Executive Jets, participated in the NBAA-GAMA “Climbing Fast” media breakfast, discussing the aviation industry’s goal to achieve net-zero emissions. Recently, at the JetNet IQ Summit in New York, Amalfitano addressed the challenges the industry faces in the post-COVID economy, highlighting a fractured supply chain and the need to rebuild the talent pool lost during the pandemic.

He emphasized the importance of not only hiring but also investing in training to cultivate skilled professionals, stating, “What happened during the pandemic is we lost the best talent in every aspect of aerospace. You have to hire the people and get them motivated, but you have to invest dollars to train them.”
