Emirates has announced plans to expand its service to Barcelona-El Prat Airport (BCN) by adding a third daily flight starting October 26, 2025. The new frequency will be operated by a Boeing 777-300ER, aimed at boosting connectivity and meeting growing demand on the Spain–UAE route.

The additional flight will enhance one-stop connections via Dubai to several popular destinations across Asia and the Indian Ocean, including the Maldives, Bangkok, Bali, Hong Kong, and Singapore. Emirates’ expanded schedule will improve flexibility for both leisure and business travelers flying between Europe and the wider Emirates network.

The new service complements the airline’s existing schedule, which currently includes 14 weekly flights each to Madrid and Barcelona, and seven weekly flights to Mexico City via Barcelona, totaling 28 weekly frequencies to and from Spain.

The updated daily flight schedule between Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Barcelona (BCN) will be:

Outbound (DXB to BCN):

  • EK255 (B777): Departs 03:45, arrives 08:15
  • EK185 (A380): Departs 08:15, arrives 12:50
  • EK187 (B777): Departs 14:00, arrives 18:35
