Emirates and Air Peace Partner to Boost Nigerian Connectivity
Emirates and Air Peace have formed a new interline agreement that will provide travelers with enhanced connectivity between Dubai and Nigeria, opening gateways to 13 new destinations across the country. Announced on February 11, 2025, the agreement offers passengers a streamlined travel experience with a single-ticket booking and simplified baggage handling, making it easier for them to travel between the UAE and Nigeria.
Starting with Emirates’ Boeing 777-300ER service into Lagos, passengers will be able to seamlessly connect to over a dozen cities in Nigeria, including Asaba, Akure, Benin City, Calabar, Enugu, Ilorin, Kaduna, and Owerri. The agreement also benefits business passengers, offering convenient connections to major economic hubs such as Abuja, Kano, Uyo, Port Harcourt, and Warri, expanding Emirates’ reach within Nigeria and facilitating easier access to key cities.
Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, emphasizing that it is a significant step toward improving connectivity and providing more travel options for corporate, leisure, and family travelers between Nigeria and Dubai. “Emirates is a steadfast partner of Nigeria’s tourism, trade, and aviation sectors. This partnership with Air Peace is the next step on this journey, bolstering our connectivity and introducing more travel options for all types of travelers,” he said.
Air Peace’s Chief Operating Officer, Oluwatoyin Olajide, also welcomed the new collaboration, highlighting its importance in improving global connectivity for Nigerian travelers. “We are excited about this strategic interline partnership between Air Peace and Emirates, which is a significant step toward enhancing global connectivity for Nigerian travelers. It aligns with our mission to provide seamless, world-class travel experiences while expanding our route network and international reach,” Olajide stated.
The new partnership will benefit not only individual travelers but also help stimulate business, tourism, and trade opportunities between Nigeria and the UAE. It is expected to reinforce Nigeria’s position as a vital hub for regional and global travel, improving efficiency and connectivity in the country’s aviation sector.
Air Peace, known for its extensive fleet, currently operates a range of aircraft, including Airbus A320s, Boeing 737s, Boeing 777s, Dornier 328-300s, Embraer 145s, and Embraer 195-E2s. The partnership with Emirates is poised to further strengthen the airline’s network and enhance travel options for passengers traveling between the two nations.
