Emirates Expands Inflight Meal Preordering to European Routes
Emirates Airlines is extending its innovative inflight meal preordering initiative to cover routes connecting European cities. These cities include Warsaw, Venice, Rome, Bologna, Prague, Vienna, Moscow, Istanbul, Dublin, Hamburg, St. Petersburg, Brussels, and Madrid, as well as flights to and from Seychelles and Mauritius.
This pioneering initiative will soon be introduced on more global routes in the coming months. The service primarily benefits Business Class passengers, allowing them to select their main course between 14 days and 24 hours before their flight’s departure. This not only ensures passengers receive their preferred meal but also contributes to the reduction of food wastage.
Emirates invites its passengers to savor a fine dining experience in the sky. Business Class travelers can explore the onboard menu on Emirates’ official website or through the Emirates app, offering a range of regionally inspired dishes featuring locally sourced ingredients. This convenient service enhances the overall inflight experience.
The Business Class meal options are diverse, spanning from delectable chocolate hazelnut pancakes with apricot compote and ricotta sour cream for breakfast to mouthwatering beef tenderloin with thyme jus, roasted potato wedges, and steamed vegetables for lunch. For dinner, passengers can relish pan-fried salmon trout with saffron cream, blanched green beans, braised beetroot, and polenta with spring onions.
Once onboard the aircraft, Emirates’ cabin crew will utilize digital devices to access passengers’ preordered selections and serve them their chosen dishes. Meal preordering complements Emirates’ existing suite of AI-enabled customer preference tracking data and cabin crew reports, enhancing menu planning, food loading efficiency, and minimizing food waste.
