Emirates has announced the deployment of its newly retrofitted Boeing 777 aircraft featuring a Premium Economy cabin class to six destinations in the United States. This marks the airline’s first introduction of Premium Economy service to the U.S. market.

Starting from Dubai International Airport (DXB), the refurbished B777s will operate flights to the following U.S. cities:

  • Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD)
  • Boston Logan International Airport (BOS)
  • Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW)
  • Seattle–Tacoma International Airport (SEA)
  • Miami International Airport (MIA), with connections to Bogotá’s El Dorado International Airport (BOG)
  • Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR), via Athens International Airport (ATH)

By February 2025, Emirates plans to offer Premium Economy on 10 of its 12 U.S. routes, expanding options for travelers seeking enhanced comfort at competitive prices.

The Premium Economy class features a mix of Boeing 777 and A380 aircraft, showcasing Emirates’ commitment to passenger comfort. The refreshed planes also include the new Emirates 777 Business Class, which boasts a 1-2-1 seating arrangement for greater privacy, fully reclined flat beds, and personal mini-bars.

Adnan Kazim, Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer at Emirates, expressed enthusiasm for the expansion, noting the success of the Premium Economy service on existing routes like New York JFK, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Houston. “We look forward to bringing a new level of comfort and privacy to more cities with refreshed cabins on our Boeing 777s,” Kazim stated.

The introduction of this updated product aligns with Emirates’ long-standing commitment to the U.S. market. Kazim emphasized that enhancing passenger experiences with consistent service across more routes ensures a competitive, value-for-money proposition for customers.

By the end of 2024, Emirates aims to feature its Premium Economy product on flights to 27 cities, utilizing 48 Boeing 777, A380, and A350 aircraft. Currently, travelers can experience the Premium Economy cabin on routes to Geneva Airport (GVA), Tokyo Haneda International Airport (HND), and Brussels Airport (BRU).

Starting in October 2024, Emirates will also begin operating its refurbished aircraft to Zurich Airport (ZRH) and King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh (RUH), further expanding its Premium Economy offerings.

As the airline continues to enhance its fleet and service offerings, Emirates remains focused on providing travelers with more premium options and a superior flying experience. The introduction of Premium Economy on U.S. routes is set to attract a broader audience seeking comfort and value on their journeys.
