Emirates Launches A350 Daily Flights on Dubai-Muscat Route

Emirates has officially launched a daily A350 service between Dubai International Airport and Muscat International Airport, reinforcing its presence in the Gulf region with next-generation aircraft. Initially scheduled to begin on July 1, 2025, the deployment of the Airbus A350 was brought forward by a week, signaling Emirates’ confidence in growing demand on this short-haul route.
The A350 aircraft used on the Dubai-Muscat service features a three-class configuration, offering a total of 312 seats. This includes 32 lie-flat seats in Business Class in a 1-2-1 layout, 21 Premium Economy seats arranged 2-3-2, and 259 seats in Economy Class in a 3-3-3 layout. The upgrade provides passengers with a more spacious and modern cabin experience, even on short flights.
Muscat is now one of the first destinations in the GCC region to receive Emirates’ new A350, joining cities like Kuwait, Bahrain, Dammam and Amman. The aircraft is also being rolled out to other international destinations including Mumbai, Edinburgh, Tunis, Colombo and Ahmedabad. Emirates has already inducted seven A350s into its fleet and plans to expand A350 service to 17 destinations by the end of 2025.
The new daily service operates with flight EK 866 departing Dubai at 02:15 local time and arriving in Muscat at 03:30. The return flight, EK 867, leaves Muscat at 04:40 and lands in Dubai at 05:55.
To meet rising summer travel demand, Emirates has also introduced two additional weekly flights on Thursdays and Saturdays. Flight EK 862 departs Dubai at 07:55 and reaches Muscat at 09:05, while the return flight EK 863 leaves Muscat at 11:25 and arrives back in Dubai at 12:30.
With the addition of the A350 and increased weekly frequencies, Emirates aims to enhance connectivity between the UAE and Oman while offering travelers greater flexibility and an upgraded in-flight experience.
