Emirates Unveils New Lounge at London Stansted Airport
Emirates has announced the opening of a new lounge at London Stansted Airport, marking a significant investment of £4 million in a state-of-the-art 900 square meter facility. Designed to accommodate up to 125 guests at a time, this lounge enhances the airline’s growing presence in the UK, bringing the total number of Emirates lounges worldwide to 40.
The Stansted lounge is strategically located airside in the Satellite 1 area, easily accessible via an automated people mover adjacent to the departure gates. This new facility replaces the previously available Escape Lounge, which was not affiliated with any specific airline. With the inauguration of the Emirates lounge, First and Business Class passengers, along with select Emirates Skywards members, will now have access to a dedicated space to relax before their flights.
Emirates has taken great care to curate the lounge experience, featuring a selection of local produce sourced from Sussex-based Full Circles Farms. Guests can also enjoy a wide variety of wines and beverages, enhancing their pre-flight experience. Additionally, the lounge is equipped with shower facilities, allowing travelers to refresh themselves before boarding.
Currently, Emirates operates twice-daily flights between Dubai International Airport (DXB) and London Stansted (STN), using Boeing 777-300 aircraft. This new lounge is expected to further elevate the travel experience for Emirates passengers flying from Stansted, providing them with an exclusive and comfortable environment.
Emirates operates lounges in six UK airports, including London Heathrow, Gatwick, and Stansted, as well as Birmingham, Glasgow, and Manchester. This expansion aligns with the airline’s commitment to providing premium services and enhancing customer satisfaction for its travelers.
