Erin Douglas Advances to MSC U.S. Trade Sales SVP

MSC Cruises has promoted Erin Douglas to Senior Vice President of Trade Sales for the United States, effective May 12. Douglas joined the cruise line in 2022 as Vice President of Field Sales and moved into her most recent role as Vice President of Strategic Partnerships before earning this promotion. In her new position, she will focus on deepening relationships with travel advisors and agencies across the U.S., reporting directly to Suzanne Salas, Executive Vice President of Marketing, eCommerce and Sales for MSC Cruises USA.
Douglas began her career as a travel advisor, a background that she says will be instrumental in her new role. By drawing on firsthand knowledge of advisor needs and client expectations, she aims to develop strategies that empower trade partners and drive bookings for MSC’s diverse fleet and global itineraries. Her elevation comes at a time of rapid expansion for MSC Cruises in North America, where the line has been broadening its presence through new ships, enhanced shore programs and targeted marketing initiatives.
“I’m honored to step into this new role at such a pivotal time of expansion and opportunity at MSC Cruises,” said Douglas. “Our travel partners are at the heart of our growth and success, and I’m deeply committed to elevating those relationships and driving meaningful sales strategies across the trade channel. Together, we’ll continue to build momentum and bring more guests aboard to experience the exceptional value and experiences MSC Cruises delivers across the globe.”
Under Douglas’s leadership, MSC Cruises plans to introduce enhanced advisor training, exclusive trade incentives and collaborative marketing campaigns designed to showcase its latest ships—including the upcoming Star of the Seas—and itineraries spanning the Caribbean, Mediterranean, Northern Europe and beyond.
